Pattern recognition has its basis in mathematics. We feature it here with colours providing a cross curricular reference. It is a critical cognitive skill for children as they develop skills necessary to organise chaos. In general pattern recognition correlates considerably highly with intelligence and our colour pattern game serves as an excellent introduction to this idea.
As with all our games, the idea is introduced through a song and story about patterns. Students are then taken to a safe area to practice pattern recognition and are then assessed on the game play.
